H.H. Mar Addai II
Catholics patriarch of ancient church of the east of Iraq and the world, August
24th 2009, met H.H Mar Ignatius Zaka, the patriarch of the Syriac orthodox
church at his residence in the monastery of St. Ephraim in Saidnaya/Syria.
During the visit they discussed
about the committee of the churches and the relationships between them and also
the Assyrians situation in Iraq. The meeting was attended by Archbishop Matthias
Naess Associate Bishop of the Syriac Orthodox Church, and Bishop Janisious and a
large number of priests and monks of the Syrian Orthodox Church, the church hymn
welcoming ceremony of His Holiness Patriarch Mar Addai II.

Mar Zaia Khoshaba, the bishop of Bagdad and the second person was father Ezaria
Warda Benyamin, the priest of St: Maria cathedral in Bagdad the other who had
attended and the media and the number of believers of the church.
His
Holiness Patriarch Mar Addai II was arrived in Syria on Saturday, 22 August 2009
from his headquarters in Baghdad Patriarch, accompanied by Father Ezaria Warda
the priest of St: Maria cathedral in Bagdad, during a pastoral visit to meet
members of the Church in the capital Damascus and in the towns and villages
Khabour, and to meet a number of Syrian Government officials and sponsors of
several churches in Syria
